The St. Kitts rock quarry. This huge quarry, out of sight and well concealed on the Atlantic coast, furnishes the building blocks for St. Kitts continuing building expansion. Stone like this has to be imported on many islands.

The quarry is one of several sights that show the real St. Kitts. Another is what's called an "industrial wasteland" where old vehicles are piled together. Some Kittian men refer to the jumbled mass of cars and trucks as a "ladies parking lot."
