Orion Developers Ltd. has started construction on The DeckHouses, a new enclave of luxury homes situated within a latticework of canals between The Ritz-Carlton on Seven Mile Beach and the North Sound of Grand Cayman.

With a projected value of $110 million in residential sales, The DeckHouses will consist of 19 five-bedroom, five-bath gated single family residences, each on a private estate and with full access to the services and amenities of The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman.

Over half of the properties have been sold and swift construction progress has been made including the electric, water and sewer infrastructure, the excavation of private coves and boats basins, installation of 1,300 feet of rip-rap for shoreline stabilization and pilings and grade beam installation.

Additionally, all interior design elements are in final phases of selection including custom lighting ordered from world-renowned Los Angeles designer, Paul Ferrante.
The DeckHouses, phase two in Grand Cayman’s only ocean-to-ocean resort community, will employ nature’s building blocks, natural wood and native stone, even shells, to define each new home.

Each estate—complete with a private beach, an infinity-edge pool, summer kitchen, two exotic outdoor showers accessible from the master suite bath and a guest bath, a separate guest cottage and more—is strategically positioned for inspiring views and is surrounded by a tranquil water setting.  Surrounded by tropical island foliage, each home will feature over 6,000 square feet of living space with additional sun decks, terraces and a private attached boathouse with a state-of-the-art lift.

All owners and their guests will have full access to the facilities and amenities of The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, which, since opening in 2005, has earned worldwide accolades for its fine restaurants, spa, luxury shopping and unparalleled setting on Seven Mile Beach. DeckHouse owners also have access to the resort’s Greg Norman-designed golf course, dining at Blue by Eric Ripert and other facilities and activities.

Other options available to DeckHouse owners  include personal ownership of an Italian antique-style hand-crafted wood watercraft, a luxury vehicle, personal golf cart and full personal butler service by The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman.  Additionally, the Cayman Islands’ status as a British Crown Colony, along with its extremely favorable tax climate, offers real estate purchasers a welcome stability.
